Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions  

“Company”, “we”, “us” refers to Motorcycle Movers.  

“Customer”, “you” refers to the person or business booking our services.  

“Vehicle” refers to any motorcycle or related item being transported.  

“Service” refers to collection, transportation, storage, and delivery of vehicles.

2. Booking and Payment  

2.1 All bookings must be confirmed via our website, email, or telephone.  

2.2 A deposit or full payment may be required at the time of booking.  

2.3 Full payment must be cleared before delivery unless otherwise agreed.  

2.4 We reserve the right to cancel bookings if payment terms are not met.

3. Collection and Delivery  

3.1 Collection and delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed.  

3.2 Delays may occur due to traffic, weather, mechanical issues, or other unforeseen circumstances.  

3.3 The Customer must ensure access for collection and delivery at the agreed locations.  

3.4 If access is not possible, additional charges may apply.

4. Vehicle Condition and Preparation  

4.1 Vehicles must be in a roadworthy condition unless otherwise agreed.  

4.2 The Customer must disclose any mechanical issues, leaks, or damage prior to transport.   

4.3 Loose items, luggage, or accessories are carried at the Customer’s risk unless declared and agreed in advance.

5. Inspection and Damage  

5.1 A visual inspection may be carried out at collection and delivery.  

5.2 Any pre-existing damage should be recorded prior to transport.  

5.3 Claims for damage must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.

6. Liability and Insurance  

6.1 We carry goods-in-transit insurance; details are available upon request.  

6.2 Our liability is limited to the market value of the vehicle or a maximum of £100 000, whichever is lower.  

6.3 We are not liable for:  

- Mechanical or electrical failure  

- Alarm or immobiliser issues  

- Pre-existing damage  

- Loss of accessories not declared  

6.4 The Customer is responsible for ensuring adequate insurance cover for their vehicle.

7. Cancellations and Refunds  

7.1 Cancellations must be made in writing.  

7.2 Deposits may be non-refundable depending on notice given.  

7.3 The following charges may apply:  

- More than 48 hours notice: no charge or partial refund  

- Less than 48 hours: deposit retained  

- Same day cancellation: full charge may apply

8. Storage  

8.1 Storage may be available by prior agreement.  

8.2 Storage fees will apply and must be paid in advance.  

8.3 Vehicles left uncollected may incur additional charges.

9. Customer Responsibilities  

9.1 You must provide accurate collection and delivery details.  

9.2 You must be available (or have a representative present) at agreed times.  

9.3 You must ensure the vehicle is legally owned or authorised for transport.

10. Force Majeure  

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to severe weather, accidents, strikes, or road closures.

11. Complaints  

11.1 Any complaints should be submitted in writing within 7 days of service.  

11.2 We aim to respond within 5 working days.

12. Governing Law  

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland.  

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

13. Amendments  

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
